What type of technical visit properties can be arranged?
Rural Tourism is able to offer visits to various types of properties such as dairy farms, sheep farms, deer farms, horse studs, and animal breeding properties. We are also able to offer visits to horticultural properties such as vegetable and fruit growers, as well as special interest properties such as rest homes, pre-schools and schools.

How long is a technical visit, and what is included?
Generally all visits are for a duration of one hour, however longer tours can be arranged. The visit will include a tour of the facility followed by a question and answer session.

Will there be a cost?
Yes there will be a charge. The cost will vary depending on the property booked and the number of people attending. For pricing on a specific property type, please contact Rural Tourism directly..

Will a staff member of Rural Tourism accompany the visit?
No - there will be no staff member from Rural Tourism accompanying the visit. At the time of booking, we request all details of the proposed group, and pass this information on to the technical visit property. The technical visit property will provide a person to escort the group.

If the group is not English speaking, will the technical visit property provide a translator?
No - it is expected that for all non-English speaking groups, a translator is provided by the group organiser.
